Welcome to Youth’s Ministry!
The UBUNTU (“I Am Because We Are”)Interactive African American History tour will be held on Saturday, February, 28th 2026. The purpose of the tour is to guide children/teens through several eras of Black History (Africa, The Middle Passage, Slavery, The Great Migration, Harlem Renaissance, Civil Rights Era to Today) with teaching/storytelling/music and a children’s black history play. The goal is to make the experience as realistic as possible so the youths can ‘feel’ and understand each era more intimately.

Avalon Park Community Church Youth Ministries is a vibrant, life-giving space where children and youth are seen, valued, and empowered. Here, young people grow in the foundations of the Christian faith while developing a deeper appreciation for their culture, history, and God-given identity. Rooted in love and community, the ministry equips young people to grow boldly into confident Christian leaders. Our guiding declaration—“We See You!”—affirms that every child and teen is known, celebrated, and supported beyond the surface.
Children (Ages 3–13):
Through Sunday School, Youth Church, hands-on community outreach, arts and crafts, and fun, faith-filled activities, children are encouraged to live out their faith in real and meaningful ways. Biblical teaching is intentionally woven together with cultural awareness, helping children understand who they are in Christ and within their community—building spiritual growth, confidence, and cultural pride.
Teens (Ages 14–17):
The Teen Ministry energizes and empowers youth during one of the most critical seasons of their lives. Through Teen Sunday School and creative, engaging programming, teens receive culturally responsive, faith-based teaching that strengthens them spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and socially. This ministry creates space for teens to ask questions, discover purpose, and walk boldly in their faith.
Teen Mentoring for Girls (Ages 14–19):
The Teen Mentoring for Girls program provides S.P.A.C.E. (SisTahs Prophetically Affirming, Celebrating, and Empowering each other). Through community outreach, field trips, and authentic Christian dialogue, girls and young women build sisterhood, confidence, leadership skills, and a strong sense of belonging and empowerment.
Dance & the Arts – NEW! (Ages 5–17):
The Dance and Arts Ministry invites young people to praise God through movement, creativity, and expression. From praise dance to spoken word, poetry, drama, and visual arts, youth are encouraged to use their gifts boldly and joyfully for God’s glory.
Youth Choir – NEW! (Ages 5–17):
Under the leadership of our dynamic music director, the Avalon Park Youth Choir is calling young voices ready to lift praise, lead worship, and minister through song—all to the glory of God.
The Youth Ministry at Avalon Park Community Church is growing and thriving—expanding its vision, deepening its impact, and creating exciting new opportunities for worship and creative expression. Every program remains firmly rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ, ensuring that faith, love, and purpose stay at the heart of all we do.
